1. Data We Collect
SchmeckBot collects only the minimum data necessary to operate its features. Specifically:
- Server (Guild) IDs — Used to store server-specific configuration settings
- User IDs — Used for features like leveling, economy, warnings, and tickets
- Channel IDs & Role IDs — Used to store module configurations (e.g., log channels, staff roles)
- Message content — Only processed temporarily to execute commands; not stored permanently
- Ticket messages — Stored temporarily in transcripts if the feature is enabled by the server admin
2. No Permanent Personal Data Storage
SchmeckBot does not permanently store personal information such as:
- Full usernames, email addresses, or personal identifiers beyond Discord User IDs
- Message history beyond what is required for transcript generation (temporary)
- Sensitive user data such as passwords, payment information, or private communications
- Location data, IP addresses, or device information
Discord User IDs and Server IDs are stored only when required for the bot's functionality (e.g., linking XP to a user). They are not used for profiling or advertising.
3. Temporary Data Processing
When you use a command, SchmeckBot may temporarily process:
- Your Discord User ID and username to execute the command
- Message content to provide autocomplete, moderation, or AI features
- Voice state or presence data for relevant features (e.g., Live Notify)
This data is processed in memory only and is not persisted beyond the scope of the command execution unless required by the feature (e.g., storing a warning in the database).
4. No Third-Party Sharing
SchmeckBot does not sell, rent, or share any collected data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. Data may only be shared with third-party services in the following limited cases:
- AI Features — If AI commands are enabled, message content may be sent to an AI provider's API to generate responses. No data is retained by the provider beyond the request.
- Legal Requirements — We may disclose data if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process.
5. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data against unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
Data stored by SchmeckBot (such as guild configurations, user XP, warnings, or ticket records) is retained as long as the bot is active in the respective server. Server administrators can request data deletion at any time by contacting us through the Support Server. Upon removing the bot from a server, associated configuration data may be retained for a period before automatic deletion.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request information about what data is stored related to your User ID
- Request deletion of data associated with your User ID
- Opt out of specific features that process your data (by asking your server admin to disable them)

8. Children's Privacy
SchmeckBot is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be announced in our Support Server. Continued use of SchmeckBot after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
